It would be very educational if in addition to selecting the English word that translates the Arabic word (recognition), students were able to answer by typing out the word or using voice without a prompt (recall).

Another helpful exercise would be if the prompts were reversed - if the student were asked about translating the English word and had to answer by either selecting the appropriate Arabic word from a list (recognition) or typing or vocalizing the corresponding Arabic word.
