I would want my family members in India also to learn through this app but they do not understand English.

They understand the Urdu variant of India. The script is like Hindi/Devnagri but words are mixed from Hindi and Urdu. The Urdu thats spoken in Pakistan is different.

You can refer to Lakhnawi Urdu or Urdu of UP as baseline and use the Hindi/Devnagri script.
